The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Selects Power2Ship to Streamline Transportation Activities

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Inc. has entered into a multi-year contract with Power2Ship Inc. to utilize the P2S MobileMarket, a logistics information service.

This Application Service Provider contract requires P2S to build interfaces between A&P’s legacy systems and the P2S MobileMarket, which will be implemented in the first quarter of 2003. When implemented, A&P’s logistics personnel will be able to access logistics information from their desktop computers via a secure Virtual Private Network, letting them monitor freight movements, assign loads to qualified carriers, and process freight payments.

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Power2Ship Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Freight Rate Inc.
