Power2Ship Inc., a technology company that provides supply-chain tracking and logistics information to trucking companies, said it purchased truckload carrier Commodity Express Transportation for an undisclosed sum.
CXT’s fleet consisted of 75 tractors and 220 trailers and covers the southeastern United States, Power2Ship said in a statement.
Power2Ship also said it bought a 137,000-square-foot distribution center in Blythewood, S.C.
The building was operated by CXT and used as a dedicated distribution center for its largest customer, Power2Ship President Michael Darden said. He declined to name the customer.
