Back-office automation platform HubTran has announced a partnership with 3PL Systems Inc., creator of the Brokerware transportation management software for freight brokers and logistics providers.
The integration allows 3PL Systems users to automate manual back-office processes and reduce operating costs using HubTran’s artificial intelligence (AI), optical character recognition (OCR) and machine learning (ML) technologies.
HubTran states that it reduces the time back-office staff spends on manual and error-prone accounts payable and receivable processes by over 80%. The software automatically scans, categorizes, groups and audits incoming documents from carriers, and automatically assigns them to the correct load in Brokerware, according to a HubTran press release.
“The HubTran integration was a decision made based on the huge void that they fill for our clients,” said Cameron Robertson, president and CEO of 3PL Systems Inc. “HubTran automates back-office work by compiling all of your carrier documents, auditing the carrier bill, and pushing all of that information back into Brokerware so that you do not have to. This frees up our clients’ operations and accounting teams to work on other crucial tasks for the business.”
Robertson continued, “The clients that have adopted this application thus far have seen a tremendous increase in overall efficiency and have been able to retrieve backup documents in quick order to provide to their clients. We are excited to finally be able to offer this integration to our client base.”
3PL Systems presents Brokerware as a product with the functionality of high-end programs at a fraction of the price. The software is designed to simplify freight broker duties in addition to creating a positive user experience for clients and customers, according to a 3PL press release. Its intuitive interface allows users to generate quotes and invoices, as well as book and dispatch shipments, in addition to other advanced offerings.
The company attributes its well-connected platform to its technology stack, over 50 less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier integrations, and partnerships with some of the largest software providers in the industry.
Josh Asbury, vice president of 3PL and Brokerage of HubTran, echoed Robertson’s stance, suggesting that the integration will provide 3PL the flexibility to have a greater focus on critical business functions.
“In order to be successful, 3PLs must focus on work that adds value for their customers — not mundane work that should be automated,” said Asbury. “HubTran is proud to serve 3PL Systems’ strong and growing customer base, and we are happy that they are now able to process shipment documents four times faster.”
He added, “Our integration with Brokerware is particularly notable because new customers can get up and running in just a few days. It’s quite an achievement.”
Davis Dye, transportation manager of Visible SCM (Supply Chain Management), shared Asbury’s sentiments, explaining that the integration will play a critical role in alleviating 3PL’s back-office pain points.
“3PL Systems Inc.’s engineering team and HubTran’s development team have worked hard to cater to our expedited implementation timeline,” said Dye. “Visible SCM foresees this integration becoming a vital part of our back-office technologies.”
HubTran and 3PL Systems will hold a virtual user conference on July 24 at 1 p.m. EDT to showcase the integration.
