FreightWaves LIVE demo day presenters, first edition

There’s a lot to get excited about for what’s coming up at FreightWaves LIVE in Atlanta May 5-6 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Among those things are the live, seven-minute demonstrations. The demos allow companies to showcase their products’ capabilities, while the hard stop keeps audiences tuned in — and the presentations sharp and focused.
Past demonstrations at previous FreightWaves events have included collaborative, blockchain-based logistics platforms, software that integrates directly onto trucks, AI solutions that automate repetitive manual tasks, as well as driver safety, and payment integrations. Some applications also help you get the most from drivers, trucks and trailers. The innovations keep on coming, and so do the advancements as the industry’s tech continues to evolve and mature.
In randomized order, here is the first release of seven of those companies and what they are presenting.

McLeod Software

McLeod Software is the leading provider of comprehensive ERP solutions for transportation providers. The company’s LoadMaster and PowerBroker products include CRM, dispatch operations, EDI, a full accounting suite, billing and settlements, carrier, driver and trip management, robust business process automation, visual workflow management, comprehensive document management, and the best business intelligence/analytics solution in the industry, all specifically developed for trucking

McLeod Software’s Ryan Sparrow is introducing a new WebLogix robotic process automation (RPA) extension to our popular FlowLogix business process automation (BPA) tools. The power of robust, highly configurable business process automation combined with robotic process automation tools gives transportation companies the power to implement custom process automation at a whole new level. In this quick example, they will show you how the combined power of BPA and RPA can improve both efficiency and velocity for common processes, such as driver onboarding and termination.

Samsara

Samsara is an IoT platform for operations. Their mission is to increase the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of the operations that power their economy. Their portfolio of complete Internet of Things solutions combine hardware and software to bring real-time visibility, analytics, and AI to operations. They serve over 10,000 customers across diverse sizes and operational industries, from transportation and logistics to field services, food production, energy, construction, local governments, and manufacturing.

Gabby Deocares will present Samsara’s portfolio of complete Internet of Things solutions that combine hardware, software, and cloud to bring real-time visibility, analytics, and AI to operations. Their growing suite of solutions include vehicle telematics, driver safety, mobile workflow and compliance, asset tracking, and industrial process controls — all in an integrated, open, real-time platform.

Emerge

Emerge is one of the fastest-growing startups in the U.S. and is transforming the $800 billion transportation and logistics industry with its Digital Freight Marketplace platform. The platform extends shipper accessibility to capacity and provides rates from current incumbents, vetted carriers and brokers and open backhaul capacity from private and dedicated fleets. Additionally, users can manage their spot freight, track and trace their loads and download real-time analytics helping them to make the smartest decisions from pickup to delivery. Launching in 2017, Emerge is backed by the founder of GlobalTranz, and Greycroft.

Founder Andrew Leto and CTO John Hess introduce the marketplace. The Marketplace allows customers to access rates for all their spot/overflow freight and compare them alongside their current network. Emerge connects customers to thousands of pre-vetted carriers in seconds as well as supporting their traditional and digital brokers all in one platform. Discover how easy it is to get live direct rates immediately and how Emerge is helping their customers save up to 20% on their annual freight spend.

Teknowlogi

Teknowlogi is an applied intelligence company focused on easy to use Transportation and Logistics Automation Software that connects you, your customers, and your carriers. At the core of their DNA, they believe every organization in the industry can and should operate at the most perfect version of itself. It is their mission to build and deliver Teknowlogi solutions that make this possible.
Walter Mitchell will introduce Teknowlogi and how it stands apart in the marketplace. The goal is to show how they use automation powered by AI to analyze data, recommend solutions, and then execute. The discussion focuses on creating a balance between art and science, the methods used and how that supports the company’s goals. They will finish up with some “AI Can Help Examples” that are practical and that most companies can understand.

Winmore

Winmore is a silicon valley-based software company offering a cloud-based Bid and Tender Collaboration application for Logistics Service Providers that provides visibility, accountability and proven practices that streamline and optimize the RFP response process to qualify and win more contracted revenue. Winmore replaces manual tracking, spreadsheets and torrents of email with collaboration tools and automated workflows that improve efficiency and provide enhanced visibility of the entire process from beginning to end.
Responding to RFQs and tenders is a manual, error-prone process that relies too heavily on conference calls, spreadsheets, emails and human memory — with too little time and too much complexity to get everything done. The results? Limited control, poor visibility, frequent errors, spiraling costs, misquoted or lost bids and lower margins. The demo will show how Winmore 360°’s unique combination of structured workflows, collaboration tools, mobile access, and deep analytics help our customers improve qualification, improve process visibility, improve team collaboration and win more business. This year’s demo led by Mark Gamble will showcase brand new features for qualification, analytics and carrier management.

TruckPay is also extremely proud of its newest product. MyTruckScales is the world’s first NTEP certified mobile and cloud-based fully featured truck scale management system.
CEO Barry Honig and CTO Benjamin Honig will introduce MyTruckScales. MyTruckScales is the first NTEP certified, mobile and cloud-based scale management system. Scale owners create virtual scales and kiosks on www.mytruckscales.com. Eliminate paper tickets, scale house servers and physical kiosks.
