DFM Commentary:
Flock Freight has developed improved automation of LTL shipment matching for shippers. It appears to be an enhanced variation of dynamic freight matching that takes into account shipment size, and pickup and destination locations. As with other dynamic/digital freight matching solutions, it has the ability to cut greenhouse gas emissions with the proper criteria entered and selected. It also allows shippers to pay the lower TL rates as LTL loads are combined into a full transport load.
Quotes from Article:
“The company’s patent-pending algorithms propose shared truckloads for a handful of LTL shipments that are going the same direction, optimizing transit routes based on first-in, last-out loading constraints, and moving multiple loads on one truck.”
