Today, we are focused on how eliminating phantom data from the industry will improve the customer experience and performance of DFMs. We will broaden our efforts to include the growth strategy which will accelerate the adoption of dynamic freight services.
ON INTEROPERABILITY
As a neutral industry advocate, DFM Data Corp. provides DFMs something they cannot provide to themselves: Functional, anonymized interconnectivity between DFM marketplaces and platforms through a distributed data clearinghouse. DFM’s are able to post their data to a data lake with minimal resources.
ON ACHIEVING FRICTIONLESS MATCHES
Using our software, DFMs send anonymized consummated shipping records. Then, our system generates a signal to all other participating DFMs to dynamically purge their data set of the now unavailable loads and capacity. As a result, DFMs can perform fully-automated matches, unencumbered by false positives. This saves countless staff hours, eliminating booking confirmation delays – and creating happier customers.
ON NEW INDICES, INSIGHTS AND ANALYTICS
Aggregated anonymized data provides new industry performance metrics and insights. Participating DFMs can use these new insights to chart their company’s progress, plan for growth, and to innovate their futures. The freight industry overall will finally have a reliable spot market index driven by real time data from DFM transactions. We will also be able to calculate carbon offsets created by digital matching which results in significantly fewer empty miles driven. The data will allow DFMs to run smarter and leaner.

DFM Data Corp. is committed to driving a continuous flow of new leads from shippers, carriers and brokers actively seeking DFM services. When DFM participation in DFM Data Corp’s services reaches critical mass, we will fund an ongoing, national-scale marketing campaign on behalf of the industry. The communications goal is to raise awareness of the benefits of digital freight matching and the identities of the participating DFM service providers.
